Our Story
With an extensive background in the textile sector, Ranjan Mahtani, Founder and Chairman of EPIC Group, took his first steps in the industry as a teenager, honing his craft in India, Sri Lanka, and Taiwan. Later, in the early 1980s, a business trip to Bangladesh allowed him to identify a unique opportunity, which led him to establish the country's most important buying office. Thus, the origins of the current EPIC Group were forged.
After 15 years in Bangladesh, Mahtani inaugurated Epic's corporate headquarters in Hong Kong, complementing its already existing operations in New York. In the early 1990s, Sunil Daryanani and Dinesh Virwani joined the team to lead operations, initially in Bangladesh and at present, from Hong Kong.
Ranjan Mahtani's vision has evolved EPIC, transforming it from a prominent buying operation to establishing itself as a benchmark in manufacturing. His future expansion plans now envision services under his Beyond Manufacturing strategy.
